As December approaches, we are starting to feel the winter blues and a weekend escape is much needed to keep our sanity. And, not all of us can get time off from work to escape to a tropical destination with lots of sunshine. So, I’ve rounded up by top 10 weekend escapes in Ontario only a few hours from Toronto.
Here are my top 10 winter weekend escapes in Ontario.
1.Scandinavian Spa at Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario is only a couple of hours from Toronto and is the perfect place to visit on the weekend. There are tons of winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing and more. For couples or a even a girls weekend getaway, I recommend the baths Scandinavian Spa for ultimate relaxation.

If you are a nature lover, there are plenty of yurts in Ontario Parks or Airbnb for overnight rentals. If yurts are not your style, then you can try these cabins in the woods. This the perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and surround yourself with peace and tranquility. Curl up with a great book, work on those passion projects, go snowshoeing or hiking and let nature do it’s course.
